The Muculufa is a hill in the Valley of Salso that rises gently to 200 meters but then abruptly jumps up to a jagged rocky ridge that reaches 355 meters. Here we see 200 tombs and caves (carved in the rock), so typical in the Sicilian countryside. More importantly, a sanctuary was discovered here which aroused fascination among archeologists. Maybe it has been very important for the people that lived in this area.
In addition, a variety of pottery was found at the site, some of great stylistic beauty.
